Soft-Roader Policy
There are many vehicles currently being marketed as “4WD’s”, but not all of them are “off-road capable”. “Soft-Road” vehicles (e.g. Honda CR-V, Nissan X-Trail or Toyota RAV-4) cannot safely complete the Club’s Driver Training Course as they lack the ground clearance and low-range gearing required to undertake the course safely. If you own such a vehicle, you are welcome to join the Club and participate in our social activities.
You should borrow an off-road capable 4WD to do the Driver Training Course and check with the Trip Leader as to whether their trip is suitable for a soft-roader.
